Books are the absolute worst, aren't they. I think Wendy and I are going to stay in our little Comox house forever just so we don't need to move books ever again.

Good luck, dear friend.

Books are heavy.

I've got a bunch in a "go away" pile and nothing's happening to them. 'Cause they're too heavy to go out with them on foot to sell/donate, and yet I feel weird throwing them out. So in my apartment they stay.

Good luck.

Well, you could always lash them to that cow in the introduction. That should help a little.

I love books too.

When I move, I pack my books last, and unpack them first. And they sit in a little pile by themselves, which I tell others (should I actually have help) not to lift. It's not fair for them to move my obsessions. They are heavy.

Happy moving!

Ugh. I have books to move too... When I found out in your last post that Seattle was in the US, not Canada, I decided to move there.

Ya never think you have enough books until it's time to move... Ugh. Well, at least your arms are going to be super toned! :)

Books definitely are heavy to transport. I once packed a huge suitcase full of books. Never again! :)

Speaking of books, here's one you should have. After all, you wrote it. "Miss Independence Takes A Leash". We all know over here why you're leaving and the one's you've left behind to think that you actually cared about them. More than one. All the while, waiting for your man to come home from war. Heartless. But, that's life for so many soldiers' wives. I've sat by out of respect for far too long.

Books are the hardest thing to move. Heavy, heavy , heavy. Keep our favorites...and I hope to god it isn't boxes of books. Donate the rest.

I read somewhere, about a project people do called the travelling book. They would leave a book on a table at a coffee shop with a little note to who ever wanted it, to read it and after they had read it to write their name in the book and where they were from and leave it for someone else to read. I thought that was such a neat idea. What a wonderful gift to pass on.

Hope you are having a grand day.

Cheers
