Comments anyone?

I suspect I'm not alone in this, but I'd like to add my complaint.

There are so many blogs I can't leave comments on! I've tried several times a day over several days with no luck.

Believe me...I've got things to say; I just don't seem to be able to!

Anyone else have this problem? Is there anything I can do or is it simply a 'blogger issue' that has yet to be resolved?

----------------

In other news, I have a new job!
Since moving to Victoria, I've been looking and looking and wasn't having much luck until now.
My new job is a block from my home and pays more for less work hours than my last job. Not to bad!
What will I be doing?
Well. Uh. I'll be...and then, um.

Yeah.

Not sure.

Executive assistant for a bunch of managers for the Ministry of Health by the sounds of it. Possibly making travel arrangements?
It's all a little vague.
BUT it's only for two months.
And that it's with the government means I'll have my foot in the door for other (hopefully!) cushy government jobs in the future.
As long as, you know, I don't burn the place down trying to make coffee or something.

I start Monday. And I'm rather nervous. But I'm sure I'll be fine. After all, I don't have a clue what I'm doing!

Hi Tai

I haven't had any problems commenting except for one that "got eaten" at Kimber's blog, but I thinks that was because of the pop-up window. I have noticed a lot of people commenting anonymous. Make sure you are logged in before you comment in their comment section. Don't put your name & password in "at" the comment section, login to your dashboard first then go to their comment section and it won't ask you for a login there. This seems to help...

If you don't know what you are going to have to do on the job, just "make the job your own"....

I've been unable to post on anyone's blog either.

I'm sure you'll do great at the job; I've managed to bluff my way through 20 years in the same company by "acting" confident and promising that boss that I can run back to my office and deliver. Big lie, big lie, necessity the mother of invention, and all that jazz.

Don't tell him that I still have no idea what I'm doing.

Hurray to Tai! I have no doubt that you'll burst in, swords swinging, and take over the office in no time!

I've been having an awful time trying to leave comments. I hope this note of congratulations makes it to you. :)

Trouble here sometimes too.

Congrats to you!

The comments problem has something to do with some people having switched to beta, while some have not. Josie said she is only able to leave a comment if she blogs anonymously, then she just signs her name.

Congrats on the job. You'll be fine. I hope it leads to great things.

Congratulations.

I knew it was just a matter of time. I guess this means I won't see you when I'm on the Island next week. Bummer.

But it sounds great, and I'm sure you will do well in it. I still think you should work in an antique bookstore though. It seems like a perfect fit.

I love it when I leave a comment and then it's completely lost when it makes me log in again (and again).

Congratulations on your new job adventure!

Hey Tai,

Welcome to the wonderful world of Government slogging.

Coincidentally, I too am employed with the Ministry of Health here in the tropics. So, do what gnight girl does. Act confident and believe you can do it, and you eventually will. I've been doing this for years also. LOL

BTW, I too am unable to leave comments so hope this one gets through to you.

Saludos~

Enid

Tai, will you be working for the PHSA? Gosh, we're practically related... hah. Congratulations on your new job. It's actually a good spot to get into and once you get in as a "temp" you can indeed advance to other positions.

The Blogger thing has been a pain in the you-know-what. I think they've fixed it now though because I am able to post today on Beta blogs, and I wasn't able to for a few days. I think Blogger was trying to get everyone to switch to Beta, so they "blocked" the regular folks from posting to Beta blogs until everyone had switched. I understand the problem has been resolved now.

Cheers,
Josie

Congrats on your new job. Very nice and a nice foot in the door. So, you and Wendy both have your first day on Monday.
As for your blogger woes, I get them too and it's very frustrating.
Cheers,
Ian

Congrats on the job! I get nervous before a new job too, thats why I tend to stay at jobs.

I had trouble with comments too, I have to sign in with Google before I can comment. In fact I lost this comment so I hope you get it!

Commenting sometimes has to be anonymous when someone has a beta blog (I think) and that was actually addressed by other commentors. Late to the party, I always am.

Congrats on the job!! You are going to be great!! Just don't do what I did on my recent new job. Don't indignantly say "No...why whould I do THAT?" when they ask you if you are following a procedure. Turns out the more appropriate "Why no, I wasn't...but I will now thank you" is better.

I really just need a job with deaf people. Things would be a lot better for everyone.

YESSS! I have had problems leaving comments. I think that some of blog buddies think I don't love them anymore.

Congrats on the new job! I'm excited for you. New place, new job, a new life! You'll be great.

I enjoyed reading your blog today, have a great week! :)

Congratulations Tai!

I hope you enjoy the new job.

As for Blogger, I have been posting comments anonymously, if I couldn't the normal way...When I get around to commenting that is...

Take care out there and don't burn the place down!

Your Pal,

Zambo.

YAY!!!!
That is awesome!!!! if you keep with the temporary things, then taking time off for Italy won't be an issue right?

And as for the post a comment thing, there was a day it just wasn't working, man that was agrivating.....

I hope the new job works out great.

The whole Blogger problem was fixed recently, so it should be ok now.

I stopped having trouble commenting when I started hitting "other" in the choosing identity part. Then, I sign my name and give my blog address. My computer remembers it so I dont have to type it out over and over again (except on yours apparently :P ).

Congrats, btw.

hi tai, i hope things are going well on your new job. sounds like a great one, even if it's only for 2 months. like you said, you'll have your foot in the door, and if you do really good, i'm sure you'll be recommended elsewhere. enjoy your holidays.

I have that problem too. I can't figure out how to comment or I'm signed up appropriately to comment. It's frustrating too! I had that happen a couple of times tonight.

Congrats on the new job! :) Couldn't get a better deal than that unless you could work from home in your pjs! :)
